COMPILATION - HEROES OF M&M 1 - 5

In Heroes of Might and Magic experience a start for a new game genre, including Heroes of Might and Magic 2, 3, 4 and 5,

Having crushed his enemies, consolidated his power base and eliminated dissent at the end of Heroes of Might and Magic, Lord Ironfist settled down to rule the land of Enroth. After 25 years of peace, the land is again thrust into turmoil. Lord Ironfist is dead and the ensuing struggle for power between his sons, Archibald and Roland, has led to a state of civil war. Players must choose sides and gather their armies as they use all of their strategic wit and tactics to join in the battle for domination of the lands.

Thus begins the story of Heroes of Might and Magic 3. As the commander of Queen Catherine's forces, you must do her bidding and battling her enemies, reclaiming the lost lands of Erathia, quelling unruly neighbors, and battling the Necromancer's armies. Later on, several twists and turns will worm their way into the plot, and the story will grow even more complex. In the beginning though, you know simply that Erathia must be restored to its former glory and that Queen Catherine must avenge her father's death.

Heroes of Might and Magic 4 is radically different from Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Some of the major differences are: 3D perspective on the adventure map and on the battlefield, heroes now take part in battles along with their creatures, six towns with standardised graphic layout, no more creature upgrades, requirement to select between creature dwellings, addition of potions, heroes of the same type are identical, different primary and secondary skills system, more spellcasters among creatures, schools of magic are aligned with town types, creatures can walk on the map without heroes. Clearly, the intention has been to make a unique game, not a bigger and better Heroes 3.

Promising to take the genre of strategy gaming to a whole new level, Heroes of Might and Magic V has all the necessary elements of an addictive, competitive, and highly successful game. Boasting 5 different multiplayer modes, both online and offline, it is a game that can be played for hours alone, or with a host of friends, via a LAN, or over the internet in a tournament. With crisp 3D graphics, a completely new storyline, and scores of new features, Heroes of Might and Magic V is the complete fantasy game.
