The Nintendo 3DS system opens up a whole new world of eye-popping gameplay possibilities. The stereoscopic 3D display of the upper screen gives objects within the game world a feeling of space and depth that extends far into the back of the screen. It becomes easier to see the position of characters and obstacles in the world, making many game experiences even more intuitive for all types of players.

A built-in 3D Depth Slider allows you to immediately adjust the intensity of the 3D settings on the Nintendo 3DS system to your liking. The 3D effect can also be turned down completely—all Nintendo 3DS games and applications can be played in 2D, and look better than any Nintendo handheld before it.
Featuring greatly enhanced graphics, a host of built-in software, and robust wireless connectivity, the Nintendo 3DS system advances the realm of portable entertainment in a number of ways.

I don't know how many of you go onto amazon.com/.co.uk, but I thought it would be fair to warn everybody. I don't own a 3DS myself but it seems that there have been a lot of problems with them like slanted screens and loose hinges. There is a possibility that you will have to have it exchanged, but don't get frustrated. With all its new features and 3d technology it will most definitely be worth it and I look forward to purchasing my own.
I bought the 3DS for my son. He loves it. We love it. It is a topnotch toy - the latest technology. When holding it - the feeling is solid and pleasant but the magic starts when you start. When you open the menus - and even the icons appear in 3D. Taking photos is a blast too. We read about the possible complains etc - nothing so far - my son is spending about 30-50 minutes daily playing it - and no problems occurred so far. On the "minus" side - the stylo is little bit difficult to pull out - but than - it is a minor problem.
