The Witcher 2

The second instalment in the RPG saga of the Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, features a thoroughly engrossing, mature storyline defining new standards for thought-provoking, non-linear game narration. In addition to an epic story, the game features an original, brutal combat system that uniquely combines tactical elements with dynamic action. A new, modern game engine, responsible both for beautiful visuals and sophisticated game mechanics puts players in the most lively and believable world ever created in an RPG game. A captivating story, dynamic combat system, beautiful graphics, and everything else that made the original Witcher such a great game are now executed in a much more advanced and sophisticated way.

The second chapter in the fantasy role playing series sees players take the role of Geralt, a professional slayer who must face a group of assassins killing rulers across the Northern Kingdoms.

The original Witcher captured a dark and mature fantasy world for players to roam as they protected the world from turmoil and ultimately saved its kingdom’s ruler. The Witcher 2 - Assassins of Kings continues this story, now seeing Geralt hunt down a group of assassins attacking the leaders of the kingdom. Three independent storylines allow players to make their own decisions, altering the direction of each story, and tackle each mission as they see fit.

Visually, The Witcher 2 has taken huge strides over its predecessor, offering a rich and detailed world for players to explore, alongside improved characters models and greater exploration. Combat has also been improved, now allowing players to make tactical decisions during combat and unleashed brutal attacks.

The Witcher 2 greatly improves upon the solid foundations laid down by the original fantasy title, offering players a richer storyline, improved visuals and tweaked combat gameplay.

The Witcher 2

Delivery was good... thanks Kalahari on the other hand the game that I purchased (The Witcher 2) required me to download a 10gig patch before I could play the game. I pay 35 per gig, so I had to pay another R350 to play the game costing me R680 to play an old game… thanks for nothing…

Not impressed with Kalahari on this item

This is actually a review for Kalahari with regards to their service with this product and not a review of the actual game. I pre ordered The Witcher 2 a week in advance before the release and what was being advertised at the time was that you'd receive the exclusive comic book and DLC code for pre ordering. The release date was tuesday and I received my copy on thursday without the comic or the DLC code. The order was also mysteriously altered without notifying me and the line about the comic book was removed in the hopes that I wouldn't notice. This is the sole reason I pre ordered the game. By comparison those who ordered from Take2: Were notified there was a problem with the comic books. Received their copy on Tuesday, the release day. Got their DLC codes emailed to them before they even got the game and they received their comic books yesterday. I originally emailed Kalahari asking about the comic book's availability over a week ago and received a reply two days ago. I have emailed them again asking when I will receive my comic book and DLC code and have yet not had any reply. To me this service is not acceptable and I essentially pre ordered for nothing since I got the game late and without my pre order content. I now have to hassle Kalahari to get what I actually ordered.
