This one particular book had me doing so much introspection, it is book i feel i can always go back to for some wisdom, lesson learnt and knowing that material things are not everything, sometimes all you have to trust in, is the universe and your instincts!
Quick and wonderful - i satisfied life long client
This book really spoke to my soul! A treasure that I will pass on to special people in my life.
story is simple and straightforward, interesting, captivating, and keeps one wanting to unravel the next event. very simple style of writing, with focus on the morale of the story: trials and tribulations in following one's destiny/dream - the rewards of such. Most characters in the book not referred to by name; so that takes some of the confusion out of the story. Like i told my bro-in-law; wish i had read it when i was a bit younger... but i'm not really worried because i'm still on the that path - i think in the desert currently! Recommended to those following a certain light in their lives
What a great book! A treasure to keep for years to come. I really love the life lessons that are portrayed in this book... Definitely a repeat-reader.
after all the hype about the alchemist all my life, i finally have my own soft copy... what an amazing read and inspiring into the realm of life, belief and a connectedness to spirit. i've not finished it yet, however, i'm certainly suggesting it as a calm, soothing read. to assist with silencing the mind. a guide to focus on the self, self love and how to be true to one's own journey.
I purposely read 2 pages a night just so that I could stretch the inspiration over many days as opposed to finishing the book in a day! A great read for the soul!
A life changing journey through self discovery, discovery of others, and a reminder of the power of the universe. If you haven't read it, you've lost out.
It was great, I loved it! Changed my way of thinking.
This book is worth reading because it wasn't written by the author's ego; it was written by something beyond. The author does not put on an act or become pretentious at all. All is straightforward and direct, with a clear intention. If you don't like being moved by a book, don't read this! Good books are worth connecting with emotionally. And this book, although overexposed, is an exceptional and classic story.
This book has a nice opening featuring the shepherd Santiago herding his sheep. He says a couple of prescient things about his sheep, and if you remember this while reading the book you'll feel like one by the end of it. Because: this is one (thankfully short) epic tale featuring soppy tear-jerking one-liners that you've surely read a hundred times before on the back of a bumper-sticker, or in a Helen Steiner-greeting card. By the end of it I felt manipulated for actually being forced to cry on queue and thought Mr Coelho was cheesy but quite good at dispensing the new commercialised spirituality made famous by the Chicken Soup for the Soul-series that was the rave a few years ago. But, this stuff sells. Mr Coelho is the new dollar-laden prophet of the new age. And like MTV his words have have mass appeal, so it must be good. Tuesdays with Morrie is actually better.

A great book that will take you on a journey to find a dream. Nice twist at the end as well!!!
Mr Stephan Schulze
This is a lovely, simply written book that touches your heart and soul. A journey not just for the main character but for the reader as well. I'd read it over and over again! Brilliant!
