Under African Skies (Graceland 25th Anniversary Film)

Documentary, from director Joe Berlinger, which tells the story of Paul Simon's 1986 album 'Graceland'.

The album generated considerable controversy at the time due to the songwriter's decision to record parts of it in apartheid South Africa - indeed, Simon was accused of breaking the UN cultural boycott of the apartheid nation at the time. Simon protested his innocence, pointing out that the album would give a wider voice to neglected African musicians, and the album received considerable critical acclaim on its release.

This documentary revisits the story of 'Graceland' and features contributions from activists and musicians, including Harry Belafonte, Paul McCartney, David Byrne and Peter Gabriel.
