This is Meyers 2nd novel in the Twilight saga.
Bella has just turned 18. Something awful happens at her birthday party and Edward is horrified.Bella knows that he is angry with himself.
When Edward informs Bella that he is leaving Forks with his family,Bella is crushed...she does not know how to take the news and she feels heartbroken.
As the days go by,Bella is reclusive and quiet. She begins to have nightmares.
She misses Edward and his family so terribly.
In this book,Bellas friendship with Jacob Black develops and the two get very close. Then Jacob starts avoiding her and Bella is all alone, once again. Bella knows that Jacob is hiding something dark...
This is a great follow up to Twilight.Must read.

Stephenie broke my heart

My heart broke for Bella in this novel. I felt her loss and pain and was devastated that Edward did not feature for most of the book. However, the ending made up for all the heartache. I did feel the book dragged a bit in some parts when I read it for the first time. Its adviseable to read it twice to fully appreciate it.

Fascinating, Breathtaking but in one word...BRILLIANT. The werewolves are a thrilling addition to the saga and the friendship to Jacob is worth everyone's note. Simply the best book in the saga.

Too little Edward in New Moon

I found that New Moon dragged quite a bit and just kept me reading because I wanted to see if Edward made an appearance again. It was an okay read.. but the Jacob/Bella story doesn't interest me. The beginning and ending was cool though. The middle just felt like space-fillers.
This book just made Bella very annoying to me.

In a word, wonderful! A few more words... heartbreaking, exciting, beautiful, electrifying...
It's a story of loss and fighting to get back to a semblance of a life, finding new friendship and regaining love.
One more word. BRILLIANT!

I received my book on Friday and could not stop reading it - by Saturday morning (2am) I had read this entire book. Each chapter is so well written, each word keeps you wanting to read more and more! If this is what the 2nd book is like, I absolutely can not wait to start on Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. If you are a fan of forbidden love and intrigue, then do yourself a favour and invest in this book! Stephanie's written is so easy, yet so entertaining! You can not help but love the characters...this is what story telling is all about.
