Breaking Dawn is the evidence that Hollywood doesn’t really respect its audience at all. Whether you’re 13 or 30, it’s hard to deny that the Breaking Dawn continues the tradition of treating viewers like they’re a bunch of idiots – and latest entry more so than previous efforts.
The acting is laughable and of sub-daytime soapie standards but we’ve already come to expect that from this series. The actors are more like zombies, conveying their insipid lines with the bare minimum of emotional expression. It’s hard to engage on any level at all and the combination of poor performances and harebrained dialogue are a match made in hell.
