All About Stock Market Strategies is the next logical step, showing readers how to apply strategies to the information found in All About Stocks. In today's extremely volatile market with stomach-churning up-and-down days, investors are beginning to realize that simply buying a stock and waiting for it to go up is no longer a viable investment strategy. Investors are now looking for an investment strategy - growth, momentum, value, and others - to steer their investment choices. All About Stock Market Strategies provides an in-depth examination of the most popular and successful strategies of investing: growth, momentum, value, fundamental, technical, active, tips, surfer, and hybrid. These successful Wiley authors discuss the characteristics of each strategy, when to use them, when to ignore them, mutual funds that use each strategy, hints for success in using each strategy, and how to find basic information for each strategy on the Internet. The book shows how to: - Choose a strategy - Know which strategy does best in a bull or bear market - Combine strategies - Make sure you buy stocks in the top percentile of a strategy - Use "insiders" to select a strategy The authors also identify the leading proponents of each strategy - Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch, William O'Neil, Motley Fool, James Cramer - and look at their portfolios. In addition, as a subset of strategy, the authors look at market capitalization as a way to invest in stocks, with descriptions of large-cap, mid-cap, small-cap, and micro-cap stocks, and how to rotate between each market cap. The book also considers various "mini-strategies" of investing such as top-down, follow the insiders, market neutral, Dow theory, global, and options. All About Stock Market Strategies is a one-stop read for millions of stock market investors who want a quick authoritative, and complete look at the most popular investment strategies, with easy-to-read portfolio examples of how they can integrate these strategies into their own portfolios.
"Read this Book before implementing a Storage Area Network. September 29, 1999 Reviewer: A reader from Philadelphia, Pa. The Fibre Channel book by Alan Benner is an excellent book. Understanding the theory behind the Fibre Channel protocol is necessary before deploying a SAN into your infrastructure. This book gave me a look inside the protocol, from a designers perspective. Considering how technical the subject of the book is, I found the book incredibly easy to follow, and the Figures represented in the book were precise and representative of the text. This is definitely recommended reading for any System Administrator looking to stay in demand.
