What a shame - inaccurate

I was particularly interested to see this book. The reason for this was because we once owned a cape Dutch house and I was thrilled to see that you included a description of what was our farm. Great was my disappointment, though, when I found a number of inaccuracies about this property because the author did not do any reserach on the property other than talking to one person who unfortunately got the facts very wrong. This mistake could easily have been avoided by approaching other people to verify the information supplied, especially organisations such as SAHRA who were involved in the converting this to a National Monument (then called National Monuments council). Surely this is common practice at a reputable publishing house? All in all very disappointing - I wonder how many other entires are incorrect.
