Nothing else damages the earths environment more than our cities. As the worlds population has grown, our cities have burgeoned, and their impact on the environment worsened. At the same time, cities have increasingly failed to serve their ideal functionas the cradle of civilization, the engine of culture, and the inspiration for community and citizenship.
