I have succesfully studied both German and French from grammar books and attained levels of fluency where 1st language have congratulated me. This was not the case with my Icelandic. This book introduces many difficult and insignificant concepts way too early and leaves important subjects such as tenses until a much later stage and then rushes through them as well. The word list is terrible, it's virtually useless for the book itself and a dictionary is necessary from the very beginning. I cannot recommend this book at all. The author is also unwilling to answer additional questions.
