I absolutely love the graphics in this movie but I found that the story line might be a bit heavy for younger children.
Two brothers are at war in the middle of an age old war. One is on the wrong track, wanting attention and the other is the hero. End result makes you wonder if this will have any value for the child as this is something only adults will understand.
I didn't understand why the parents of the missing baby owls didn't attempt to get them back, and why the parents of the brothers only seemed interested in the hero. It felt as if there were holes on the story.
It is cute, has an almost Australian feel to it. The names for owls and places feel a bit as if the author couldn't come up with anything creative, more like a mess of words.
I did like the movie, but it does have a slightly darker side that parents may want to approach with caution. More suitable for older children from about 10 up.

It's a good family movie. Lots of values to be learn't. Also has some good animation.

This movie is about the owls of Gahoole.
Soren, a young owl,is fascinated by the stories of the guardians of Gahoole that his father tells hims.
Soren dreams of becoming one of the guardian owls but his brother becomes jealous.The little owls fall out of their treetop and have to make a dashing run to save their lives!
A good storyline,but a bit boring for me. Kids will love it though.
