  Pretty good

Based on the book set in the 1960's,it follows the viewpoint of African American maids who worked for white people. Basically it's about how they were treated and the difficulties they went through because of the colour of their skin. Good movie.

  An Entertaining Masterpiece
Reviewed by Charl on 07 March 2012
2 of 4 people found the following review helpful:

The Help, based on the best-selling book by Kathryn Stockett, is a thoroughly entertaining portrayal of the racial dynamics in Mississippi in the 1960s. It centres around Skeeter (Emma Stone), a young aspiring writer, and African American maids Aibileen (Viola Davis) and Minny (Octavia Spencer), who goes against society's norms by writing a daring book which speaks from the help's perspective. The friendships and feuds that are formed as a result of it makes for an interesting climax. This masterpiece truly deserves all the awards and nominations it received.
