The main idea in the design of this book is to give you the fun of discovering mathematical laws yourself. Worksheets which are framed in a double-lined frame give you this opportunity. Try very hard to discover things for yourself but ask for help if you need it. Whatever is enclosed in a single-lined rectangle must be learnt. Worked examples are given to you to show you how to set your work out. When you have to revise for an examination, you can go through all of this material fairly quickly. Examples marked with asterisks are either more difficult than usual, or have some unusual features.
