This title follows a modular competency-based approach and the author's aim is to bridge the difficulties often experienced by learners at this level. This text assists the facilitator and learner to achieve success with its outcomes-based approach. SI units used in this title is listed at the beginning together with an explanation for each. Each unit begins with details of necessary prior-knowledge and learning outcomes. Concepts and terminology are explained. Self-assessment questions are provided to help learners identify areas in which they can improve. There are also assignments at the end of each learning unit that allow learners to practise and improve their skills.
