I think the way Iyanla used 40 days & 40 nights is very symbolic from the Bible when Jesus went to the wilderness for 40 days & nights. The book is divided into 4 parts about honouring your Self, others, your feelings and the process we have to go through in order to achieve peace with yourself and the Divine. in the book she's makes examples about her own life and it's quite profound that at times of confusion or misery or anger she can still articulate her emotions in a manner that shows that she doesn't blame anyone for the terrible things that she went through but excepts that those things had to occur in order for her to be the person she is today. If you read this book with an open mind and complete the notes you will certainly go through some sort of transition - Soul-opening!!
