Short description
McCracken, Robert A. Kainer, and Thomas L. Spurgeon (all former professors of anatomy at Colorado State U.) provide basic information on the topographic relationships of all major organ systems in domestic large animals. Although they include most systems for each animal, they discuss others only for some species to illustrate general anatomic patterns. Animal specialists authored plates illustrating selected clinical or husbandry applications that reflect the anatomy of the organs involved. Although not a large animal, the chicken is included because of its value as a food source.
