A great insight into traditional Cspe Malay cooking. The author introduces the reader to an array of spices, herbs and seasonings followed by mouthwatering recipes. The religious festivals and ceremonies are explained, because certain foods are served on these special occasions. Easy reading and colorful photography. Mouthwatering indeed.

This is the one book I use regularly. The curries and stews are true comfort food, appealing to the fussiest of family members. Surprisingly quick and simple to make, once you have the basic ingrdients on hand. This book was the only item missing from my luggage after a recent flight back from India, But I immediately replaced it. Can't live without it.
