It can be used together with "The McKinsey Way" or as a stand-alone guide. Like its precursor, "The McKinsey Mind" relies heavily on stories from McKinsey alumni, but with a different focus. While the earlier book examined the experiences of former McKinseyites during their time at the firm, this volume explores how they used the skills they learned in their careers post-McKinsey. The recent outflow of McKinseyites into dot-com companies means a strong emphasis on implementing McKinsey skills in the "New Economy".
