Long description
This new edition features more information and better on-field applications than its predecessor. The book includes innovative new drills and tactical information to give goalies the edge in every situation. Insight and examples from top goalies and key coaching points by the authors are included to give players and coaches with the performance applications they need to excel. University of Pittsburgh soccer coach Joe Luxbacher and former Pittsburgh Riverhounds goalkeeper coach Gene Klein have more than 55 combined years of playing and coaching experience. Luxbacher is an author of several successful soccer books, including "Soccer Practice Games" and Klein has coached youth and professional goalkeepers for many years. From drills and tactics to equipment and fitness, this book aims to cover the whole field for goalkeeping success.
Review
Many soccer coaching and tactics books do not give the level of depth needed for developing good tactical awareness for players aged 12 to 18. I have found that your books are excellent; specifically, I have used The Soccer Goalkeeper to develop training session plans with great success from the under-sixes through the under-fourteens.
