For small to medium sizes Video Cameras you will find this tri-pod sturdy and rock solid in performance.Smooth Panning up/down, left/right. Differential adjustment to resistance. The quick release of the camera unit can be released and inserted fast without obstruction while recording. I have a Tri-pod cositng over R2000 that simply does not compare this Velbon Tri-pod is the way to go for semi-pro photographers and Video Graphers.I Love my VELBON
