The Good News Translation (GNT), also known as the Good News Bible or Today's English Version (TEV), is a thought for thought translation with the aim of giving the reader maximum understanding of the content and meaning of the original texts. It is written in a standard, everyday form of English. The translation was done in 1976 and revised in 1992. It is widely used in South Africa as well as in the rest of Africa.
