A friend of mine who was getting divorced told me about this book, and recommended it because it made so much sense to him as to why his marriage hadn't worked. If they had been aware that they were showing each other 'love' in ways that weren't recognised or appreciated by the other person, things could have worked out differently. I read this book and figured out my love language(s) and those of people close to me - it helps to understand why we are misunderstood and misunderstand our friends, family and lovers. It also shows how to make these people feel love and try communicate how you need to be 'shown' love.
