"The Prep Series" is a multilingual reading and writing series for the first four years of schooling, including school readiness. It consists of text charts, exciting and colourful story charts and story books. The series is available in all the official languages of South Africa and the materials are suitable both for use in classrooms and for extension to include INSET and PRESET teacher development.;This pack consists of ten sets of story charts, 100 story books (five copies each of 20 titles) and a teacher's resource book, "Reading and Writing in Junior Classes" by Wendy Flanagan. One complete pack will equip classes of 35 children. Supplementary materials can be purchased for larger classes or to replace lost components. Audio and video cassettes for teacher development are also available as optional extras.
