Short description

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. The black sign, painted in white letters that hangs upon the gates, reads:

Opens at Nightfall

Closes at Dawn

As the sun disappears beyond the horizon, all over the tents small lights begin to flicker, as though the entirety of the circus is covered in particularly bright fireflies. When the tents are all aglow, sparkling against the night sky, the sign appears.

Le Cirque des Rves

The Circus of Dreams.

Now the circus is open.

Now you may enter.

The Night Circus - an e-book revelation!

The Night Circus is the first e-book I bought from Kalahari.com. It is such a wonderful experience to sit in the comfort of your home, perusing cover texts of all possible new books, decided on one, and then, minutes later find the full text on your computer screen - ready to enjoy! The book itself is a phantasmagorical reading experience. It reminds of classics like Tom's Midnight Garden, or the Narnia series, although there is no comparison with regard to the stories itself, the magic is the same. I was enchanted from the first page to the end. Exceptionally well written with an entertaining plot and progressive developing characterization and story line, reading this book was to me a magic carpet which had taken me into new destinies in my mind. Sheer joy!
