Great reading! Lesley never fails as an author. One has to have read her previous book 'Belle' before reading this one as it is a continuation of the story of 'Belle'. Lovely story. I could not put it down!

Loyalty, Passion and War - The Ingredients for a G

This was a mesmerizing novel that I could not put down. It transported me back to pre-WWI. I became totally immersed in the era. The author paints such a vivid picture that you feel like you have been to the front and sat in the trenches yourself. It brings an understanding of what it must have been like for the wives and mothers waiting for their men to hopefully return unharmed from the war.
Within the war there is a love triangle that unfolds. Despite all that was happening during the war there was still love and romance. The power and raw passion that was experienced in this novel takes you away from the humdrum of everyday life.
I would highly recomment this book to anyone who has a passion for historical novels, as well a romance.
