Short description
Season three, set three years after the end of Season two, finds Jack Baurer, who has spent several months deep under cover, returning to the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU). The mystery of President Palmer's fate after being exposed to a potentially lethal toxin at the end of season two and its aftershocks will be revealed. The series also features Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard) now the Los Angeles Director of CTU, and Michelle Essler (Reiko Aylesworth), his chief confidante in the organistation. This season introduces Chase Edmunds (James Badge Dale), a young CTU agent, who suddenly finds himself not only looking up to Jack, but working alongside him as well.
Long description
Three years on, it's time to follow another 24 hours in the life of federal Special Agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) in this wildly innovative television series. Jack and his colleagues are being blackmailed with the threat of the release of a deadly virus, a Type 3 pulmonary immuno virus. Incarcerated drug baron Salazar's brother is demanding his release but Jack must cope with his own heroin addiction too. Time is running out and there seems to be a traitor in CTU...
It's been three years since President Palmer survived an attempt on his life. Jack Bauer is still working for CTU (the Counter Terrorist Unit) in Los Angeles. When a body infected with a deadly virus is picked up on the streets, CTU realise that they have a major threat on their hands. Jack uncovers a sinister plot to bring more of the deadly virus into the country from Mexico. The hunt for a teenager and his deadly haul of drugs is on...

this has become one of my new favorite series. started collecting all the seasons.
24 is absolutely brilliant. this season has some really awsome twists in the plot.

My wife and I didn't watch TV for a week while we ploughed through the box set. Some hardcore action. A nice change from the lack of decent stuff to watch.
