The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a 2012 British comedy-drama film directed by John Madden and written by Ol Parker

Long description

A group of British retirees decide to outsource their retirement to India, where it is less expensive and seemingly exotic. They are enticed by advertisements for the newly-restored Marigold Hotel and are bolstered with visions of a life of leisure. They arrive in Mumbai, after an arduous journey, to find the palace a shell of its former self.Though the new environment is less luxurious than imagined, they are forever transformed by their shared experiences, discovering that life and love can begin again when you let go of the past.

This is a charming movie, and Kalahari is getting really fast these days. Altogether a good experience.

An entertaining well acted movie where the characters, although no longer in the prime of life, embark on an adventure. Each one has a different reason for this bold move and the outcome is not always as they expect. The setting allows one a peek into daily living in India.
