Short description

The first series spans the two years before the Great War beginning with news of the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, which sets the story in motion. The second series covers the years 1916 to 1919.

A delightful series that captures the essence of a truly inspiring era. The acting is incredible! Cant wait for the next - just a pity that I don't have enough time to sit in front of the TV.

Purchased Series 1, 2, and Christmas at Downton Abbey. Sat glued to the TV until it was all over, and then i sat with a blank look waiting for more! Excellent storylines. Cannot wait to purchase series 3 and the next Christmas edition but alas, i need to budget for it. Really riveting - makes you want more :) The waiting is killing though
