Short description

Martin Scorses's lavish, epic period drama is set in turbulent Five points area of new York in the 19th century. The crime-plagued city is run by corrupt politicians of the Tammany Hall era and gang warfare between the powerful Manhattan Irish gangs escalates into deadly draft riots.
