A true epic tale of a gladiator

Bar the non-existent Spanish accent of the Spaniard portrayed by Crowe, from a pure cinematic, enigmatic, epic, dare I say biblical point of view, Gladiator will stand the test of time as a great production within it's genre and against any Oscar winner. If this movie doesn't make men of of boys, best you crawl back into your bat cave.

  Fallen Emperor

The movie had an excellent contrast between the lead character's roles. The General, The Slave and the Gladiator. As you follow the plot you can't help to sympathize and feel betrayed, misused and angered. The architecture is astounding, you feel amazed staring at the past and seeing the Colosseum in it's full glory with a bit of disgust when you realize it's the actual location where thousands of Christians were slaughtered. The movie itself deserves a 5 out of 5 but the Dvd only 2 out of 5 for the lack of special features
