Short description

This South African movie is set in the small Karoo town of Loxton. - 'n Jong onderwyseres kom agter dat almal op die dorp nie ewe vriendelik is nie. Dan kom die skok, die skool moet sluit as gevolg van onvoldoende befondsing. Daar word naarstiglik na oplossings gesoek. Uiteindelik word op 'n konsert besluit. Dit kom aan die lig dat die dorp se ongeskikte kluisenaar 'n beroemde sanger is en moontlik die enigste persoon is wat kan help.

Long description

A young mother arrives there for peace and quiet, and is shocked to discover that the local school will shortly be closing unless they can raise half a million Rand. She decides to hold a music concert to raise the money, and sets about recruiting artists to help. However her reclusive neighbour turns out to have a few surprises which may or may not help her greatly.

Authentic. Great music. Family film , clean and above board...Rare Gem..Must see. Most of all..makes one think and reflect..long after seeing the film... Pity the other great artists at the show, did not perform solo..would have then been 10 stars. Do hope the producers make more of such films.

This movie, in my opinion, was very weak and,in the beginning appeared to be a sloppy copy of an american western with the main actor, over acting. The story could have been better had there been more and better continuity.A poor attempt after all the hype

It is so nice to once again watch an Afrikaans movie - a movie with a nice story without any swearing, sex and violence. Hierdie is 'n storie so eg-Afrikaans en sonder enige pretensies. As jy dit nie kyk nie, wees verseker dat jy geweldig baie mis!!!
