Lately the abanudance of biopic style films seem less focussed on anything other than accurate portrayels of the deceased – the characterisation takes always takes centre stage but in this case, it’s what makes the film great which isn’t a bad thing at all but we can be thankful that Simon Curtis builds a believable world for these larger than life characters to roam in.

Monroe is Still Magical

Decades after her prime, Ms monroe is still in her prime. The plot depicted the icon in her flawless beauty and made tangible her ability to capture a person in his entirety at the expense of everything else in his life. Ms Williams' protrayal of the multi-facted star was evident of her strong identification with Marylin. Sterling supporting roles from Dame Judy Dench in particular who played the part of the omni-benevolent matriarch with grace and guidance. I was hard-pressed not to embrace her as my grandmother.

Phenomenal!

Michelle Williams gives a fantastic portrayal of Marilyn Monroe's ability to wow and cause men to fall in love with her, while she was actually incredibly confused and depressed.
I was blown away by the movie!
