As an mature adult male went to see this movie purely because of Meryl Streep's abilities. Well, watched it with my popcorn and coke, and that was about it. Can understand some would love it, and nobody would actually avoid it, it's harmless and mostly forgettable..but you could do much worse, so it's not a waste of your time and or money, but you'll watch it only once.

Fascinating take on fashion world
Reviewed by Unknown on 11 April 2011
14 of 25 people found the following review helpful:
Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) battles to keep her head above water, stay sane and not lose her identity in "the job that a million girls would kill for." Her manipulative boss, Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the editor of the prominent Runway fashion magazine, makes this a nearly impossible task.
The best reason to watch this movie is Streep's excellent portrayal of her demanding and devious character, often more in her eyes and expressions than words or actions. Her Oscar and Golden Globe nominations were well deserved.
The DVD also bustles with many great bonus features.
