Fantastic Book

Read this book when it was first released in 2005. My copy was dropped in the bath, bent and extremely well read. I kept saying for family members to read it, but they didn't. Then the movie was released and all of a sudden a tremendous interest. Get this book - the content is beautifully written. It's sad, humble, it makes you smile, cry and get really angry.

Wonderful touching book.

I loved, loved this book. The second world war through the eyes of a German foster-child, it should be depressing but is wonderful uplifting yet sad. If you like a book that walks with big boots through your heart, this is one to read.
