This is not a Nexus for R 1000. What it is, is an extremely functional Android E-Reader, that happens to have Wifi, surf the web, check your email, and play Angry Birds.
For the money, the build quality is exceptional. The unit is light and is comfortably held in one hand. Sometimes the response is a bit lagged, but overall you really can't complain. I read 20 and 30 MB high resolution magazines, and this little unit copes fine. Using the included USB cable, I played HD movies off of a 32 Gb flash drive.
Surfing the web and reading, I get about 8-10 hours battery life.
If you're looking for something a little more than a Kindle and don't require the performance of a Nexus, thus unit will serve you well.
5 Stars for delivering this performance for under a R 1000.
