The graphics is excellent and the gameplay very good. The new Home City and the Trading routes / posts assist in getting in resources faster which gives you more options for your strategy. The experience that you gain in one campaign is transferred to the next - something that can give you quite an advantage in the long run. Seems like fun! The Trial Version can be downloaded at www.ageofempires.com. It is 360 Mb in size, so do not try to download over a modem!

after playing the demo i was very disapointed the game is the first AOE game that has to my knoledge been so badly recieved the first 2 were master pieces of game dynamics but this time not only have they changed it for the worse but they have reduced the number of playbel civs to 8 ( thats the lowest yet) it covers what they should have fully covered in aoe2:conquerers exp they also miss out some of the mojor historical events going on at the time Such as the napolionic wars ,the african settlement, the opium wars ETC. they arent letting you play as any of the native american tribes or empires your troops dont upgrade to new kinds anymore and you cant play the same civ against the same civ eg: spain vs spain id rate it a disgrace to the aoe franchise

      Bland and boring

I was really looking forward to a great game and i'm a big Age of Empires fan. I think it's a big let down. Like most games these days the gameplay is boring. Everything is given to you on a silver platter (resources, upgrades etc) and the understanding of the game lacks logic. It's relatively unrealistic and craves creativity. A 2 year old could play this game. But great graphics.
