A great game. Very epic and looks great with the high resolution textures. The game was very fun and did justice to the RPG genre.
Only problem is the story is not very original and your choices do not affect the game or story. Gameplay is a bit silly with just hacking and slashing; not very realistic.
Not as good as Oblivion or Morrowind, and has no real replay value. This is probably all due to the console age dumbing down game development.
Great game though, in its own right.

Thanks Kalahari for launch date delivery :) Here's my review to date on Skyrim.... Graphics - 8/10. There's 2 key factors in this score. The actual game engine, its features and functions on PC looks dated, as if its from Fallout 3 days. Witcher 2 is alot more advanced (and taxing on system). This is however offset with the fantastic landscape design and art direction. Overall great atmosphere. PC performance is effortless on High using my 6870 and looks as fantastic as the game allows. A DirectX 11 makeover would easily make this a 10.... Sound - 10/10 , Fantastic musical score. Well timed with events and perfectly suited to the feel/look of the game. Dialogue is clear and adjusts well to a surround sound setup. Spells, weapons and other ingame audio bits are rich and clear. All these elements are well mixed and creates a 3d world when playing on a 5.1 setup... Gameplay - 9/10... This is a great game for beginners to the RPG realm as the interface is simple, managing the character is intuitive and you not forced into being an expert in navigating menus at all. This being said, the PC interface does feel like a console port, with you scrambling between keyboard inputs and mouse clicks, neither working fluidly. Experienced players might feel slightly robbed with a lack of depth of whats on offer within the character development. But this is quickly forgotten when you get sucked into the world. A seemingly infinite amount of quests, all feeling important makes you feel you have to do everything. Navigating the world isnt as tiring as you might think with certain quests taking you along key paths, creating many fast travel points. Ingame characters are well acted and feels real. Combat (melee in my case) is fun, though slightly easy at times. The leveling system is highly varied, but easy to specialise and highly flexible, irrespective of your race. All in all its a highly addictive game, with satisfying combat, interesting towns and gives an overwhelming sense of "what should I do first, where and how will it affect the story...ill just do them all!" - OVERALL 9/10
