Long description
Best known for his platforming classics, Mario has had a varied video game career over the years, jumping from adventure titles to music rhythm and party games. After tackling golf and tennis, Mario now has his sights set on football. Taking place in the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario Strikers Charged Football discards the rules of the pitch in favour of dramatic and over-the-top matches more in line with the Mario Kart series. A whole host of staple Nintendo characters join Mario on the field, including Luigi, Peach and Yoshi, as well as lesser known Nintendo characters Toad, Kooper and Birdo.
Each of Mario Striker’s stadiums takes on its own unique Nintendo feel, with colourful Mushroom Kingdom venues mixed in with the darker tones of Bowser’s realm. As the ball is passed between players during each match, the energy surrounding it will change colour, allowing players to store up enough power to score goals with ease.
Mario Strikers Charged Football gives football its own Nintendo twist, with many of gaming’s most beloved characters making their sporting appearance.
