Short description

Bowser has once again kidnapped Princess Peach, but this time, Mario has another objective. The Mushroom Kingdom is bursting with more gold coins than before. Each level is littered with gold as coins rain down from overhead pipes, trails of coins are left behind special gold enemies and gold pipes transport Mario into coin-filled caverns. It's up to players to collect as many coins as possible throughout their adventure.

• The game records all the coins players collect throughout the game, so completing a level is only part of the fun. Every level is filled with golden opportunities, such as gold rings that turn enemies into valuable gold versions and a Gold Flower that gives Mario the ability to turn almost anything in his path into coins.
• Coin Rush Mode allows players to collect as many coins as possible across three levels and challenge friends to beat their record via StreetPass.
• New Super Mario Bros. 2 is an all-new side-scrolling adventure game featuring Mario and Luigi. Two players who each own the game will have the option to play the entire game in two-player multiplayer mode using local wireless.
• The return of Raccoon Mario gives Mario the ability to fly and access hidden areas.

I have been playing this game for 2 days straight now, and I am completely addicted. Nintendo have shown that they are the true masters of the 2D platformer! The addition of making you try to obtain 1 million coins has made it an absolutely addictive game, especially if you have OCD, you just have to have them all!!! The graphics are simple, but extremely pleasing on the eye. With vibrant colours, and typical Super Mario style and flare, it doesnt fail to impress. The 3D aspect of this 2D game also adds a new twist to the series. Graphics: 4/5 The gameplay is everything you would expect from a Mario game, and I wouldnt have it any other way. As the saying goes, if it ain't broke, dont fix it. Anyone who has ever played a Super Mario game will be able to pick this up right away, and have no problem jumping into the Tanooki suit. Gameplay: 5/5 The story is also what you would expect from a Mario game, princess peach is captured again, and you have to go save her. I am not sure why she always gets herself into trouble? Anyways, to be honest, I dont really need a reason to jump on a Goomba's head, I just do it because it feels good! No offense to any Goomba reading this. Story 4/5 Overall: 13/15 or 87% A Mario game every gamer should own in their collection, and a great introduction to anyone new to the updated franchise.
