LIFEHOUSE front-man Jason Wade knows his way around a hook. This has never been more evident than it is on the new album release entitled “LIFEHOUSE”. The boys are back! The First single “You and Me” is one of the few love songs on the album, but its tone is more stormy than romantic. The tracks “Blind” and “Better Luck,” on the other hand are more confrontational. Operating on feel – personal and creative instinct – has served Lifehouse’s new album well.
“This record succeeds because we put no emphasis on what it was supposed to be; it’s just us, what ever that is, which is partly why we just called it Lifehouse,” Wade reveals. “We didn’t think too much, and as it turns out, we do our best work when we’re not thinking.”
Wade proved himself a gifted songwriter with Lifehouse’s first record, 2000’s multi-platinum
NO NAME FACE, which spawned the #1 hit “Hanging By A Moment.” In fact, “Hanging By A Moment” was the most-played song of 2001! STANLEY CLIMBFALL, the band’s Top 10 follow-up, was released in 2002 to critical praise.
