TOP GUN was originally released in 1986, the soundtrack to the film starring Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis. It rapidly became one of the best-selling soundtracks of that year and now stands as one of the top-selling movie soundtracks of all time.

Fueled by the power of numerous hit singles, TOP GUN was a pop music phenomenon in its own right. Berlin's "Take My Breath Away (Love theme from "Top Gun")" reached number one on the Billboard singles chart. "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins reached number two and "Heaven In Your Eyes" by Loverboy peaked at number 12.

This newly expanded edition contains new liner notes and photos. As an added plus for fans, it also features five bonus cuts. The entire album has been digitally remastered for sound that'll make you feel like you're "mach 2 with your hair on fire."
