iPad
- Register on kalahari.com to get an account
- Register for an ADOBE ID, its free and easy to do
- Download and install the kalahari.com eReader for iPad from the Apple App Store

Buy an eBook from the eBooks shop
- Your eBooks will become available on the kalahari.com eReader for iPad in your Bookshelf
- Launch the app and sign in
- Connect your kalahari.com username and password (created in Step 1)
- Authorize your device with your new Adobe ID (created in Step 2)
- Read your eBook in the iPad eReader App
- Go to the bookshelf by tapping the Bookshelf button at the bottom left of the screen
- Your new eBook should appear in the list, tap Download and your eBook will begin downloading into the App
- Once your eBook download has completed, tap the Read button and you eBook will open in the reading view - enjoy your eBook!
Android
- Register on kalahari.com to get an account
- Register for an ADOBE ID, its free and easy to do
- Download and install the kalahari.com eReader for Android from the Android Market
- Buy an eBook from the eBooks shop
- Your eBooks will become available on the kalahari.com eReader for Android in your Bookshelf
- Launch the app and sign in

- Authorize your device with your new Adobe ID (created in Step 2)
- Read your eBook in the Android eReader App
- Go to the bookshelf by tapping the Bookshelf button at the bottom left of the screen

Adobe DRM compatible eReader device
First follow the getting started guide for Mac / PC above. You will then be able to continue with the following steps:
- Connect your eReader device to your PC / Mac. The kalahari.com eReader for PC / Mac will detect the eReader and you will be prompted to authorize your device
- After authorization, you will be able to find the reader recognized in the kalahari.com eReader for PC / Mac on left at the bottom of the list of menu items. (Clicking on the device will reveal it's contents on the right hand side of the kalahari.com eReader for PC / Mac)
- From the kalahari.com eReader for PC / Mac menu, click on [All Items] in the column on the left.
- Items will be listed in the right window.
- Select the desired items to be transferred.
- Drag and drop the selected item into the eReader's Drive located on the left menu, under DEVICES.
You should now be able to eject the eReader device from your computer and start reading the eBooks that were transferred to the device using the device's own software.

- Why can't I download my eBooks from work over my work's Wifi?

Many corporate networks have restrictions on network traffic that can affect how the kalahari.com eReaders downloads eBooks. Because each network is set up differently, our advices is if you are experiencing problems, try downloading from home or from a different network.

After purchasing an eBook on kalahari.com, your eBook can be downloaded directly into your kalahari.com eReader through the LibraryBox.
- When will my ebook be available?

eBooks are generally available within seconds or minutes after purchase.
- What is PDF DRM and ePUB DRM?

DRM is Digital Rights Management. DRM eBooks can be restricted from copying, printing and use on unauthorized devices to protect the interests of copyright holders.
- Can I print my ebook?

Some eBooks may not be printed due to restrictions enforced by the publisher. Before buying, please check the "Product Details" section on the eBook's product detail page if you wish to print or copy the eBook.
- How many times can I download my ebook?

eBooks can be downloaded at least three times.
- What are the differences between ePub and PDF?
-
The reader opens ePub and PDF documents. These two formats are a bit different:
- ePub documents reflow their text and pictures to fit your screen size. So there are no fixed page numbers. The zoom buttons will increase or decrease font size, and the text and pictures reflow accordingly.
- In PDF documents, the pages are fixed. Text and pictures do not move from the page they are on. The zoom buttons will zoom in or out on the whole page. Usually PDF documents are exact replicas of printed books or magazines.
