This product does more than the description defines.
1. It supports some video format (limited formats).
2. It does music playback during the photo slideshow.
3. It includes a remote (which is compulsory to access certain functions, not all functions can be accessed by the device alone).
_Dislikes_
It has a 500kB internal memory which is pretty useless, so you'll definitely need an external flash memory device.
I found that the firmware is a bit limited as to providing a convenient way of customizing certain things to one likes.
_Likes_
The device is sturdy and has an appealing look and feel to it.
It has a relative good audio output, with a volume control that range from soft to reasonably loud. The image quality is what one would expect from these types of devices, since it is only a 600x800 resolution at 8". The cost are lower than any other device in its class.
This would be a definite buy for someone that just want to use this as a simple digital picture frame.

I havent had the tim eyet to set up the frame, but it came without the cable and remote. So i phoned Kalahari and was pleased with their service. Verona gave me constant feedback and within a week i received it, although being over the festive season

For the price it is a fair buy.
Video/Sound and picture all included
It only takes certain formats so
you have to convert to the formats
entertained if you differ from their
format
A bit slow to load but hey, what do you want at this price
Sound .. seems to have noisy background at times

The internal storage space available is extremely limited, so definitely consider purchasing an SD card with this item. The controls are slow to respond during image transitions (likely due to a minimally powered processor) and only a small number of video formats are supported.
Positive aspects include that the frame is not battery powered but uses an included power adapter (2-pin) and a remote control is included should you find use for it.
Good value for money if you are looking for a photo frame to display a slideshow of pictures, if you are looking for a picture book or interactive gallery then an entry-level tablet would likely be a better option.

I have purchased a number of Digital Photo Frame products over the last few years and the Gobii 8" stands out as the best of all ito picture quality, ease of operation and excellent video play-back.
For me this product is good value for money.
