If this is the DVD for the 46664 for the November/December 2003 event, than as a South African, you really cannot miss this! For somebody who was actually there himself (that would be me, hehe), the experience was extremely exhausting but definitely worth every second. If you enjoy the multi-celebrity appearance gigs, than this is one whereby the scale of spanning between various Western Artists(including African) have never been seen before in the history of live events. Appearance includes (if you don't already know) Beyonce Knowles, U2, Queen, Danny K, Anastacia, the Corrs, Ladysmith Black Mombaza, and the incredible Annie Lennox, amongst a worldful of other incredible talents. The US artist might seem a little desparate at times to try 'Africanize' there image, but nuthin we haven't encountered. As a 'sequel' to the World AIDS Concert in 2002, this one certainly makes its predecessor look insignificant.
Of course, the concert was for a good cause. And believably, so is the DVD. More than thousands of people are dying of HIV-AIDS each and every single day, because of neglegence and disgust from society. By just giving 1-minute of your life you could possibly make a difference in our future. You could be a hero. But that is no excuse to purchase this DVD. Get it for the passion of Music, and the love of great sounds.
