  Why issue on Blue Ray?

When seeing a Blue Ray issue I does expect exceptional video and audio guality. Being a Dire Staits fan, I thought I'll be in for a joyous view and listen. What a dissapointment! The video quality is hazy and grainy (noise). The worst is that it is presented in 4:3 letterbox format?? Come on, this on bue ray???. Sound quality is also average. Issueing this on Blue Ray (with the Blue Ray price premium) I believe is exploiting consumers. A normal DVD issue would have been more than sufficient as the quality of the recording does not warant a Blue Ray issue (with attached price).
