Three decades ago, South Africa's Rabbitt ruled for five short years. They were dazzling on stage, innovative in the record studio, and a media phenomenon in the press and in the early years of television.
Rabbitt were world class long before offers of international contracts began flooding in. The only band bigger at the time, at least in terms of teen popularity, were the Beatles themselves - that's how big Rabbitt were!
Rabbitt's debut album, BOYS WILL BE BOYS, set
the standard for musicianship, songwriting and
production for others to follow. From the opening blinding riffs of "Something's Going Wrong With My Baby" and the proto metal of "Savage" to the delicate orchestrated balladry of "Lifeline" and the sheer pop magic of the smash hit "Charlie" the album is one of the most complete pop rock albums of the 70's.
