Letta Mbulu has produced classics that have stood the test of time. She recorded her first album in 1967 titled LETTA MBULU SINGS which was released through Capitol Records in the USA.
Letta has also enjoyed many hit songs, among them "There's Music In The Air", "Maru a Pula", and "Not Yet Uhuru". She also recorded the theme songs for many high-profile television shows and films, among them Alex Halley's Roots and Steven Spielberg's The Colour Purple as well as performed and recorded with many global icons including Miles Davies, Harry Belafonte, The Ionious Monk and many more.
Now after several years, Letta Mbulu is releasing a long awaited new album. Titled CULANI NAMI it features 10 great new tracks and follows THE BEST OF LETTA MBULU. Love takes centrestage on CULANI NAMI.
Tracks like "Nobody Loves Me Like You", "Akekho", "That's What Love Is For" and "Su'dlala Ngami" are just some of the gems on the recording. The title track of her new album sees Letta request all her fans too join her insong which is easy to do on an album so full of life and from one of the country's most globally revered and accomplished artists.
