With Daydream Mariah really came into her own. She released another three consecutive #1 singles with starting with Fantasy's debut @ #1. The remix feat ODB produced by Puff Daddy has remained a hip-hope classic since its release in 1995. This was years before it became common ground for pop singers to team up with rappers. One Sweet Day, the duet with Boy II Men, is still the longest running #1 single in the history of Billboard, spending 16 weeks at #1. Always Be My Baby is one of the happiest songs of innocense I can remember. Tracks like Forever and Underneath the Stars are all really good songs in their own right. This might be an album on which Mariah best achieved a balance between the demands of her talent and those of the crossover marketplace. Her Boyz II Men duet "One Sweet Day" remains one of her best ballads, and "Always Be My Baby" is a light, sweet and coy number. Furthermore, "Fantasy" bridged the two with skill, especially on the ODB-stained remix.
