Ten Tremendously-Talented Tenors

Take ten talented Antipodean tenors, add a dollop of charm, humour and fun, mix thoroughly with John Barry, Hans Zimmer, the Bee Gees, Queen and opera (without the boring bits) and you have a recipe for an incredibly delicious DVD "Here's to the Heroes". If you haven't heard of these guys, please don't get put off by the name The Ten Tenors - discard your preconceptions about "tenors" (I had to) - and have a look at this totally enjoyable DVD. TTT are definitely not your typical tenors - their repertoire is varied (from Queen to Puccini), they all have a sense (or senses) of humour, and indulge in some wonderful dance routines - but all ten of them have terrific voices and their harmonising is superb. Their versions of the Queen songs "Who Wants to Live Forever" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" are absolutely amazing ... as is The Bee Gees Medley, and a particular favourite of mine is "Vois Sur Ton Chemin" (from the movie "Les Choristes"). Actually ... all the songs on the DVD are marvellous. Definitely a wonderful addition to anyone's DVD collection!
